Also what is the bearing? 6202 or 6201 - Ive seen both quoted?

I'm sure this has been asked many times...
Ive got as far as getting the endplate off the armature...
I understand i have to drill the rivets out holding the bearing cover plate on.... Do i drill the heads off, or their bottoms from the underneath?

It looks like it might be better/ least complicated, to look for another engine... I'll keep my eyes out on ebay etc... In the meantime at least I can keep running...

(re. https://www.mmoc.org.uk/Messageboard/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=73539 ) I think the reason my 3 & 4 cylinders are oiling up their plugs is oil getting past the rings (fairly significant oil seemingly getting burnt; and me having to replenish in the region of a half a pint every 200mls or so?)....

It seems to be getting oil up to the rockers, like before though - whether its enough I don't know but she's not complaining... Pots 3 & 4 - the spark plugs still bit oily/sooty than should be. ... thanks guys... update - removed head and indeed the gasket gone between pots 3 & 4 - in fact a half inch portion blasted out! ... waiting on new gasket, but it looks like it hasn't damaged the block or head surfaces where it was. Maybe a slightly faulty gasket? Anyway, I'll check the flatnes...

and yes, there is indeed very noticeable lost compression on 3 & 4 pots compared to 1 & 2!
So is that the gasket gone then? (I can't imagine the pistons holed suddenly both together?).

I think I'll remove the head anyway, I don't have a compression tester. Hopefully the fault will be obvious .

... Update ... I managed to get the pulley off, by drilling and tapping two holes into the flange of the pulley (thru the lock tab windows) in order to utilise a puller - 2legged. And hay, so simple and easy-peasy - it just wound off with the puller operation, like a knife thru butter. :D So, fitted...
