That's some milestone and some achievement. Well done.
I think you may even foil the local Sainsbury's anpr with those plates.

Re: Invisible to cameras?
I've been in a Sainsbury's with the anpr camera's and my silver and black plates were picked up. The black has faded quite a lot so I didn't expect them to be recognised.

Yes please Sparticus! This topic seems to come up quite a lot so some proper bearing numbers that are known to work ...

Re: Upper trunnion grease nipple
If they were not so expensive (~£20) I would try one of those zerk/gurtech lock on couplers. I pulled a trunnion grease nipple out trying to free a connector once.

That does look nice. Tempted to crack open a tin of craftmaster I bought a while back.
There is some useful info on their website...

Re: Leaking front dampers
ESM website just let me add one to basket Declan. I didn't see any message about notifying me when available.Declan_Burns wrote:According to the ESM website the new units are no longer available-only the reconditioned ones.
I wonder if anyone has bought these in the past and how they have got on with them.

Have you looked into using a roller to get a smoother finish? You can get a very good finish brushing though. That is how my van is painted and with B&Q paint as well.

ESM sell new and uprated rear units. Might be worth asking if they do front ones as well to take out the lottery of how well recon ones have been refurbed.

Re: Insurance disappointment
I'm normally a supporter of Footman James insurance but having just received my renewal notice, I see that the premium includes a £10 Arrangement fee! None of my circumstances have changed, they are exactly as last renewal, I have simply been invited to renew again. I'm wondering what arrangements ...

Curiosity and then bewilderment at why someone nowadays cannot manufacture one that doesn't fail. No need for a condenser as I have electronic ignition but I like the spud solution.

Re: Caliper rebuild - grease puzzle
Now all I need is a helping foot to bleed the brakes when they're rebuilt... A nicely shaped length of wood that fits between the steering wheel and brake pedal when fully down will allow one man bleeding. Not as good as someone pumping the pedal and that lovely jet of fluid expelled when the nippl...

I'll have to try another one but it was more the small area for the cap to seal on that bothered me. Maybe I will convert to Declan's setup.
