Surprisingly the Marinaseems to have a higher first gear than a spitfire and a Triumph GT6 has a higher first still. These are all the same box so you should be able to pick the ratios you want. The ratios are SPITFIRE 3.5 2.15 1.39 1:1 GT6 2.65 1.78 1.25 1:1 MARINA 3.11 1.93 1.31 1:1

Surely the camber is controlled by the length of the bottom arm/the length of the shock absorber arm , packing washers behind the trailing arm will mainly alter the castor angle?

It wont make any difference apart from limiting wheelspin when you take off from a standing start or use too much power coming out of a corner.

As you're taking off the axle to either weld on new brackets or replace the whole thing, I'd remove the halfshafts and diff first to make it lighter to move to one side. An axle is quite heavy when you're lying on your back trying to shift it out through the springs. Its probably easier if youre cha...

I had to take my axle off and fabricate some new brackets from mild steel , I also had to weld a small hole in the casing . However I had cutting and welding gear in my garage - the easiest answer is to get another axle casing , or complete axle now you know what to check for. If you add your wherea...

If there's no leaks at the wheel cylinders , it can only be the master cylinder , the rubbers have probably lost their shape and only seal by virtue of the pressure on them. change it before you hit someone/thing next time the pedal goes to the floor

I've read all these replies and I think it sounds like the mounting plates on the axle have rusted away letting the axle rotate and now the diff is not level but pointing up, raising the prop nearer the tunnel . I had to remake the mountings on our traveller because of this. Especially as he says th...

Do you mean this one?
No that's fabric like a lot of 20s/30s cars, it is quite thin like vinyl.

Dont bother to replace them , Ive never put them back on and no other make engine uses them. You would need a pretty extreme valve bounce to dislodge collets.
