Re: Which new tyres for a 67 Traveller
Hi Liam, good to hear from you, I just looked up Princetown on the map and you’re just 29 miles away from me, practically next door! Thanks for your advice, I’ll be taking the wheels off of the Traveller toclean and paint the wheels and to take to the garage so no problem with their windy gun. Cheer...

Re: Which new tyres for a 67 Traveller
Hi, thank you all for taking the time to reply, it’s helpful to have your views, I have found a garage (which states it deals with both modern and “chassis” cars) it’s is not too far away and I will ask them for a price To supply, fit and balance a set of radials. It seems to make more sense for the...

Which new tyres for a 67 Traveller
Hi, I know this has been asked before and I have looked at previous threads on this matter but am still unsure...!?! My current tyres have started to perish so new ones are required, my queries are: Which type of tyres should I go for? Which size ? Any preferred make? Anything to avoid? Should I get...

Re: Devon / Cornwall Border Socially Distanced July Run
Just thought I’d say “Hi” as we are moving to Cornwall from the New Forest, Hampshire, in Sept., we will be on the south coast in Seaton, about four miles east of Looe. Maybe I’ll be able to join up in a future jaunt but Benny Morris (my 67 traveller) needs a bit more work before venturing out again.

Light blue vinyl
Hi, not sure if this is the right section but here goes... Does anyone know if there is a supplier of vinyl sheet, I have a smoke grey traveller with shabby coverings inside and I would like to recover these as the replacement parts are pretty expensive. Any pointers to suppliers would be appreciate...

Has Rob Thomasson gone from MMOC?
Hi, I saw a new name in MMOC ref technical issues, I’ve been used to seeing, and using, Rob Thomasson for many years, he has supplied good clear info for me on maintaining my Traveller.
I don’t keep as close an ear to the ground that I used to, Does anyone know if / where Rob has gone?
Thanks.

Re: Traveller lock/ handle
Tried the Plusgas, the screw started to move....but just sheared off. I e tried drilling out the screw part, partial success but I think the square bar of the handle is rusted into the outer sleeve of the handle/ lock. Pondering on trying the “heat” but don’t want to burn my shed down! Perhaps a rep...

Traveller lock/ handle
I am in the process of swapping over the rear doors as the existing are pretty rotten. I was removing the locking mechanism on the r h door to put into the replacement, I removed the 4 guides which the lower and upper bolts slide in, then the 4 interior screws on the inner part of the lock then the ...

Minor Matters Mag Nov/Dec 2018
Just a little shout out for the mag producers... As well as being an entertaining and informative read, this edition had a “compostable wrapper” as opposed to the previous plastic. It’s maybe a small thing, but if all organisations / companies etc did a similar small thing, then that would result in...

Phasing out petrol and diesel vehicles
Apologies if this topic has been covered elsewhere, I couldn’t find anything. The news today had the story that the govt. is being lobbied to bring forward the phasing out of petrol and diesel in favour of electric cars from 2040 to 2032. Has there been any announcement of what happens to our Morris...

Re: Seat frames query
Thank you very much for your responses, they are very helpful. Just checked The seat cover prices and they are rather higher than Id thought, £81 per back and per seat making the front pair alone £364 for the front seat covers alone 😳 (they’ll need restuffing etc as well). Maybe i, ll just be buying...

Seat frames query
Hi, I have a 67 Traveller and Im pondering getting some Newton Commercial replacement covers. I’m not that keen on the design for the 64-71 design, (the vinyl welded ones) and quite like the 62-64 duo tone style and the 56-59 ones. My query is wether the seat frame sizes and shape are the same for m...

Hoses query
Apologies if this is in the wrong section... I noticed that I have a small leak from my top radiator hose, all of the hoses look the same age, would you folks replace just the leaky hose, or if one has a leak, would you replace all three? Also, any tips on the removal of the old and putting on the n...

Traveller seat frames
I want to recover the front seats of my 67 Traveller from Newton Commercial and prefer the look of the 62 style to my current ones.
My question is, are the frames the same size in order for me to swap the style around?
Thanks.
