Just bumping this up to the top again as I have had a couple of private messages that I missed.
I have not been on the forum for quite some time, but I am still prepared to do this breather modification if anyone is still wanting it.
Send me an email to pgp001@yahoo.com

Re: Membership benefits - Esso Fuel Card
I tried to use my Fuelpecker card last Tuesday and it was declined three times so had to pay on my debit card.
Having just seen this post I have checked my card and its expiry date is 03/24 so should still be valid.
I had no idea this was going on, hopefully some better news soon.

Re: Knock when braking
I had exactly the same problem, it took a while to identify it as well. As Phil stated above........... Check the nut is tight that holds the tie bar fork end onto the lower suspension arm, mine was just a couple of flats from being fully tight and allowed it to move a few thou and cause the knockin...

If you are patient yo should be able to find some NOS rubber mounts, I eventually got some after a couple of months looking on ebay.

It is also excellent for filling any small gaps in Traveller woodwork to prevent water getting into the joints.

Re: Traveller Wood Refresh “in-situ”
I use a car cover which is made to measure for the Traveller.

It has been a very good purchase and I have had no problems with it, you can get an MMOC members discount from them as well.

Re: Car Covers
I use one from Specialised Covers in Shipley, the Traveller lives under a car port and the cover goes on as well during the winter months. I have had no adverse effects from using it and the seem to be very well made and it fits the car properly so it is not blowing around in the wind. MMOC members ...

Re: Traveller Wood - Mind the Gaps
I wonder if you could fill some of the larger gaps with slivers of ash veneer before trying the Captain Tolley's. ?

Re: Traveller Wood - Mind the Gaps
Regarding your gaps in the wood frame. I filled mine with................wait for it.............."Captain Tolleys Creeping Crack Cure" Once you have finished laughing go have a look on their website and then give it a try, it has certainly done a very good job on mine and prevented any in...

Re: Advice Required
I changed mine and it was pretty straight forward as you describe.
I dont think the later horn push will fit the earlier banjo type wheel, you will need the correct one that goes with it.

Re: Sealed crankcase breather system
Hi Simon That is the point. There is no way to service the canister as it was originally manufactured, that is why I have devised my modification to allow it to be serviced in future. If that is something you would be interested in, send me a private message. I have already done quite few for member...

Re: ESM disc brakes Ford, alloy hub.
Fair comment, I had no idea how old the ones on mine were prior to changing them.
So they would have been made before the problem was sorted by the sound of it.

Re: ESM disc brakes Ford, alloy hub.
One thing I found is that the alloy Ford disc hubs that were on my car when I bought it were not very good. They appeared to have expanded to the point where the bearings were no longer a tight fit and they were spinning in the hub. I tried loctite but it did not last very long before the problem re...
Re: Sikkening
Sorry I cannot tell you how many coats mine has had, it was done when the previous owner replaced all the wood before I bought it.
It has been on there since 2015 and has not needed re-coating yet.

Re: Breather Oil Trap
Well I have just opened up a couple more for one of our members, this is what I found..........Totally blocked up with oily gunge on these two. It seems that the filter is either protected with all the oil that gets drawn in and then blocks up, or the filter rusts away completely. This is the first ...

Re: Petrol in the air filter housing?
If your car has been stood a long time the fuel has probably "gone off".
It loses volatility after a relatively short time and does not evaporate as quickly as far as I am aware.
