After playing with the dip-switch and as many bullet connecters as I could find, it works. I'm surprised as to how simple the whole circuit is for the lights, I tend to think electrics and run.

Hello again! I've just had to change a bulb as it simply wasn't working (actuall proved harder than it should have been... note to self: there is no need to remove the entire fitting!!) Anyway, now both lights are working on dip, but as soon as I go to high-beam both lights cut out. Any ideas? Chris

Hi Chris, it was the front right which had a new cylinder fitted, and I think both fronts were adjusted afterwards. If the drums themselves are in bad shape (as you've said could well be the case) then I will try and get them replaced (maybe the rears aswell) along with the master cylinder and shoes...

I'm not too hot on brakes, but on the last MOT (in November) a leaking wheel cylinder was found, this had to be replaced so I presume that the fluid had to be bled and changed in the process, as well as the brakes being adjusted. Yey its off! In the end it took the jack method, a blow lamp, two crowbars, a pit of the chisel, and a lot of penetrating fluid. I don't bother with the drain plugs. Just take the bottom radiator hose off and let the water drain away. Yeah thats what I did this time, I'm just wondering where they are incase I need them.
