Traveller front grille and engine temperature

Hi there Im having troubles to keep up the engine temperature here at winter. The heater on the late Minor is simply to big ! I have removed the fan blades, and it helped me a bit - but not enough. The mixture on the carb is perfect, and I have an 88 degree thermostat fitted. So is there anyone who ...

Hi

You write snapping and popping sounds from the exhaust travelling downhills with the throttle closed ?
Is that a sign of a failure ?
Many Minors does that including my own
What is the course of that ?

kind regards'

Oil in HS2 Carburettor

Hi again
Thanks for the answers.
Im not in doubt about how much oil that is the correct amount. I also have a manual on the car , and knows exactly how much and where the oil is to be added.
the problem is that I constantly can add oil up to the mark in the tube - which I think is strange.
