Hi. Hope you have solved your squeek by now but I thought I'd let you know about my annoying squeek. The fan on the dynamo has worked slightly loose and although turns with the dynamo, it slips slightly causing a squeek. I haven't had time to look at it yet, but I'm sure the fan normally locates on ...

Thanks for all your suggestions. Turned out to be a leaky manifold gasket!!! All back , up & running again!!! :D

John M - Excellent and so simple, hadn't thought of that. Kevin - Coil looks to be correct and you are right the mechanic replaced the trusty old SU pump with an aftermarket copy. Carb needle is good, have cleaned it several times to no avail. Hope to re-attack on Friday so will try all your suggest...
