Thank you all for taking the time to reply. I suspect then that the channel I bought was simply an inferior type so I shall try one of the other options - the rattling is driving me mad. The only way I can stop it is to wind the window up very tightly, not an ideal solution with summer now with us! ...

Thank you Ian, but it's not the length of the channel that's the problem. The material seems too thin or something, it just doesn't 'fill' the groove in the stainless steel frame. This means that the window can contact the frame. When I bought it there was no mention of different types of channel, a...

Door window channel
I've had new rubber-backed felt channel fitted to a front door of my Traveller. The trouble is they don't completely fill the metal channel so there is a draught and the window rattles. Does the stainless steel door top require a different type of felt channel?
