Good work folks.

I had replaced all fuses as they all looked like they'd seen better days apart from the inline one which was ok. It turned out that I just needed a bit of emery paper on the inline connectors.

Brake lights now working too after giving the +ve lead some attention.

A kindly passing cyclist pointed out that we have no brake lights. On further inspection it turns out that we don't have rear lights, numberplate light and front sidelights. However we do have indicators all round and headlights.

Is there likely to be a common cause? All fuses are OK.

It appears that the Hardi I have is not even a Minor one. I'm hoping the old one will do the trick.

Could I stick the coils (they are new) in the Trabi?

It's funny the thing you forget you have. Whilst rummaging in the shed for some tools yesterday I came across an electric pump I'd forgetten about, it came with the car and I don't know if it works but I'll give it a go tonight.

Other forgotten items included three coils and an engine!

I have a pair of halogen bulbs that have been knocking about for a while and despite my best intentions have thumb prints (and worse) on them. I was planning on giving them a good clean with meths before fitting. Does anyone have any better suggestions (for the bulbs not the meths)?

Our registration CFL 808C suggests the car should be BOB so it's always been a he.

I've not had a chance to investigate very fully but we have an intermittent squeek/whine coming from the back of the car.

It only occur when we're moving but I don't think it's brakes as it doesn't change when braking.

Any ideas?
