Hello mate, Yes, they will fit if they are from a 2 door, traveller or convertible as the door shape wasn't changed, but there are a few small difference's between lowlight and later doors, namely no rubber buffer under the door handle on the outside and no chrome finisher around it either, but nothi...

Hi All!
I may be able to make it to the SADMOG meet if you let me know where and when. I will be coming from near Ringwood though so not really Southampton so does that still count or will i have to start the RADMOG meets!? :D

Steve,
I am interested but unsure if i have a boot handle without looking! Is it the Series MM type you want with the through holes for the screws rather than the later type with the studs fitted? If you let me know i will have a look and see what we can sort out! Any other requests if not?

Like Scott, i am sure you can fit the 803/948 7" back plates to the MM uprights and then keep the MM hubs and stud pattern but use later cylinders. I haven't tried it myself but am told it works! If it were that easy though, then why would ESM go to the effort of making a kit to do the job? :-?

Fram PH966B is the standard filter for a whole range of cars but if you ask for an oil filter for a mini you will be fine! :D

Willie, I have a 1275 Marina engine fitted with the breather on the timing chain cover and no tappet chest covers. I have a Mini 1+1/2 SU carb with the hosetail on the side as the later 1098 carb had. My air filter housing is a 1098 one with a modified backplate to suit the bigger carb. The hosetail...

Yes, when you remove the filler cap with the engine running it is puffing out like a steam train! It doesn't smoke from the exhaust though, but runs a bit lumpy on idle but smooth and quiet as anything when driving so would hope the engine is not on its last legs! :o I have tried all sorts to get it...

I have a similar problem! I discovered today that the engine is pressuirizing the rocker cover and causing smoke/oil mist to force its way out through the filler cap! The only breather there appears to be on the engine is from the timing chain cover and that is linked to the backplate of the airfilt...

So back to the original subject, what would be the best diff to use on the standard minor axle when running a 1275 with the sierra 5 speed box? Not sure what i have at the moment, but acceleration is very quick but it is not as happy as i would like crusing at 65-70 mph. I wouldn't mind losing some ...

No it doesn't. I had a 1951 saloon with the moulding but it still had all the other lowlight body features such as plain engine bay floors, early front shocker mountings and lowlight inner wings. It also had the square bulkhead rail underneath the battery tray that was modified later on ready to acc...

Many thanks! The poor pick up has taken a back seat as a low priority over the rest of the families daily runners and my lowlight tourer project but the last few months have been free to allow me to get on with it at last! I have found a picture of the spoiler on JLH's home page but if Jonathon is a...

Ray, I work about 4 miles away from my DVLA Local office which is very handy so i managed to nip in after work to get the tax! The MOT was the last appointment yesterday so picked up the pick up after work and went straight to the test centre! :D Andrew, I have the 1275 Marina A-series (not the A+) ...

MOT'ed yesterday and taxed today so i have spent the evening driving around in it!! I'd forgotten how nippy the 1275 ...

Where can i get a front spoiler?

Not everyone's cup of tea i know, but does anyone know where i can get a front spoiler from for a minor, or better still has anyone got one they want to part with? I remember you used to be able to get the fibreglass spoiler and bumper valance in one but are they still available? Many thanks in adva...

With reference to the bumper irons, Lowlight one's are NOT the same as later one's as they are made from a flatter profile steel whereas the later single piece bumpers have a curved profile to suit the inside profile of the valance. The bolt holes on the lowlight irons are also drilled off centre so...
