Thanks to everybody who replied to my questions on the engine conversion. i think i will probably go down the route of a 1275cc engine and gearbox conversion mainly due to the spiralling costs. Any info on this project instead would be greatly received.

Hi all
just aquired a 68 2 door saloon very clean underneath and not bad outside.
Am looking to do an engine conversion to a fiat 1.8 or 2.0L turbo but need loads of advice as what is best and for all relevant parts for said conversion.
Any help would be appreciated.
