Hi folks, when wired to voltage regulation device the gauge fluctuations with the 10 volt regulated power, I wired it to the other side and it works fine now.
The fluctuating was driving me bonkers off the fuel gauge terminal

Temp gauge fluctuating
Hi people, just fitted the electrical temp gauge to the moggy from a mini as per the instructions on this forum I found and it seems like the gauge is fluctuating up and down when running? I connected to the fuel tank gauge wire as it says to do but the needle was all over the place with the engine ...

Re: 1098 minor manifold question
Yeah I thought it would be restrictive, I've got a 40 dcoe and inlet manifold kicking around also but reckon would be too much for this little lady! But would be better with a lcb exhaust manifold free flowing and the hif carb

Re: 1098 minor manifold question
Nice one! As a temporary measure I suppose if you didn't mind killing a manifold you could cut the inlet part off the exhaust part. Would be a bit ruff but should work.

1098 minor manifold question
Hey folks, this will be a daft question to anyone that knows the answer but could you tell me if the Morris minor 1098 manifold is the same as a mini manifold.
Also what manifold combo are you guys running when you upgrade to hif 38 carb?
Regards
John

Re: Identify 12g940 head
Many thanks for informative replies. Did the double valve springs come as standard on the head do you know? The inlet valves measure roughly 33.3 mm. I had drunk half a bottle of port when I measured them so not specific  Are we saying this head could work ok then on the 1098? Decent carb upgra...

Identify 12g940 head
Hi people I've just found another 12g940 cylinder head, it's flat across the top so I'm assuming not A plus.
It has water valve outlet so not metro, it also has double valve springs.
Anybody know what this head is from? It's original colour of green as well.
Cheers

Re: 1275 head on 1098 engine
Not sure about the heater take off but it makes sense, are the bolt holes threaded? Yes use the 1275 rockers, but they should be re-aligned with the valve stems as they sit off centre as you can see in the link I posted. Most of then can be done with packing washers but there are a couple that need...

That's pretty amazing but I wouldn't go through all that trouble to fit that horrible Diesel engine. Couldn't think of a worse lumpcharlie_morris_minor wrote:this build thread uses a pug 106..

Re: 1275 head on 1098 engine
Loads of info chaps cheers. If the heater outlet is blocked but the bolt holes are there do you drill the head externally to fit the heater tap?
Do you use the 1275 rocker assembly as well?
Cheers folks

Nice one thanks!
I've just bought an mg metro 1300 engine for 85 quid that runs so will transplant the head then.
Cheers

1275 head on 1098 engine
Hi all
Quick question. Does the 1275 head fit on the 1100 with no mods? And what increases would I expect to see?
Cheers
