Re: Front hub retaining castle nuts

I have been told I can change the whole set up for later ones , including stub axle, trunnions, hubs and later brakes. I just have to put the original steering arm in. Does anyone know if this is correct. The answer is yes but later brakes/hubs have different wheel stud spacing so you will have to ...

Re: Removing Series MM ashtray and grille

The grill was originally attached in the 3 threaded studs, 2 in each lower corner and one in the centre on the upper edge with 2ba nuts. The later design replaced the threaded 3 studs with plain cast studs and some retaining clips. So put some PlusGas on the studs, early design remove the 3 nuts, la...

Re: URGENT - Recent ESM Marina disc brake conversion, will swap (or buy) for front drum brake set-up !?

I happen to have all the major parts in Stephen's list, they were left over from a disk brake swap a while ago I kept the parts.
If you are interested send me a PM.

Re: Bermuda Blue Touch-up Paint

The problem is that there isn't really a correct shade as you have found, as the shades change due the the modern paints and the mix ratios that make up the colour. The best thing to do is take a sample of the colour you have from the car to a paint supplier and get them to create that shade for you.

Re: 1098 Ribbed Gearbox Remote not operating correcty

If it is a ribbed case are you sure the remote is for a ribbed case as the smooth case remote is shorter than the ribbed case remote so won't work on a ribbed case.

Re: Seris11 bonnet

Early Series 2 cars retained the small badge and chrome strip, probably to do with the stepped changes in production from Series MM to Series 2. I used the image from Potteries site on my previous post to show the badge and chrome strip, not a point of reference. I have amended my previous post in c...

I recommend the regulators from CLASSIC DYNAMO & REGULATOR CONVERSIONS LTD. I replaced my lowlight with one of their regulators, it is excellent. It looks like an original. I have since purchased one for my van.

Re: Diagnosing a gearbox

Yes you have a smooth case gear stick, you need to source a rib case gear stick. I don't think the gear shifter is a straight swap from the smooth case to the rib case, I understand the gear shifter and gear selecting rods on the smooth case is shorter than the rib case so the gear shifting rods won...
