Re: 1.5 Wolseley Back Axle?
Are you taking lessons in selective misquoting from the main stream media? This made me laugh... Currently i believe the main stream media to be rather spectacular!! Of course information from the internet is devils work, and not advised... even your doctor tells you that (although the NHS guide is...

Re: 1.5 Wolseley Back Axle?
Yes the clue is in the posting name and the signature picture which is the start line at Prescott speed hill course. The car has been used by myself on and off since the mid 1960s for speed hill climbing and sprints at club and national level. The car is very much modified with a approx. 135 bhp pl...

Re: 1.5 Wolseley Back Axle?
jaeki Even though the Wolseley brakes are swopped side to side there is no problem with bleeding the brakes, they are bled in the normal way. All I can say is that I have never had a problem in bleeding the Wolseley 1500 rear brakes. In some ways it is easier than bleeding the Minor rear brakes. Be...

Re: 1.5 Wolseley Back Axle?
Well, I wasn't sure whether you could interchange the brakes to a minor axle and didn't want to blabber and load of nonsense. So just a direct question. My poor minor has been buggered about with, came with a ford axle that is now on something else, and had a zetec engine which has meant a lot of bo...

Re: 1.5 Wolseley Back Axle?
Sorry, but i wanted the best advice, my minor has been played around with, and if having a minor axle would be better for whatever reason, i shall buy one! I didnt want advice based on my circumstances but based on what is the best set up!! Its relatively irrelevant whether i have a minor axle, its ...

Re: 1.5 Wolseley Back Axle?
Okay, well the situation im in is that i dont have a minor back axle i would need to buy one, and i already have an extended hand brake cable... so i could just use the wolseley axle i have and remove the handbrake gubbings, i wasnt sure if the wolseley axle was much heavier than a minor axle. There...

Re: 1.5 Wolseley Back Axle?
Thank you for your replies, If i were to put the backplates and brake onto a minor axle... what advantage is this as opposed to just using the wolseley axle? Also, the cylinders are at the rear of the axle... minor at the front? So would i need a longer handbrake cable? Or use the funky linkage from...

1.5 Wolseley Back Axle?
I purchased a saloon that had the 1.5 Wolseley axle along with a 1275 and gear box, a mod made in the 70's Sadly the car was beyond restoring so i removed the parts to put in my van. Question... Should i put the entire axle in the van, or just remove the diff and put it in the minor axle? Not 100% s...

Non Standard Light Switch?
Hello fellow Minor owners, Im not overly keen on the black toggle switches in the later minors and seeing that im restoring my minor i have been looking at alternative switches... not very successfully i may add. I prefer the all metal toggle which some kit car manufactures make but im unsure whethe...

Morris with VIN but no Reg??
Ive just purchased a minor that should have its paperwork, but the seller said it was lost a long time ago and he had sold some parts off... including the bumpers, doors etc. Is there a way to find the car on the system (DVLA or MMOC or such) that will tell me the Reg plate so i can apply for the Lo...

Re: Xflow Mounting & Radiator
It's a 1600 ford xflow, I know people do make an extra engine mount to attach to the engine bay, but it would be helpful to have some dimensions and picture as I would want to make one for my engine.

Does anyone know the date which chrome grille was stopped? I have a 51 SMM and want to know if she should have painted or chrome. Also, what date did quarter light latch change from round to the squarer type along with the door pull? Any other features that would be date related would be most helpfu...

Re: PCD? Ofset? what do they really mean?
I measured the commercial wheels the other day and they most certainly are not zero off set!! from hub face to front (outer) of rim measures 1.5" and from hub face to back (inner) rim measured 4.5 not adding up to a Zero off set like some people think. So what is the off set of morris minor whe...
