Re: Driver behaviour
The issues seem like the same stuff we have over here in the states... The common sense and common courtesy that I was taught by my parents and my driver education teacher back in the day seems to have gone completely away now a days. The need to be first in a line...the lack of patience too is a bi...

Re: Sorry looking split screen
I love the crusty rusty look myself but yes a very sad little car...
Hopefully someone can give it a warm and dry place to rest and possibly get it back up and running again...
Thanks for sharing.

I am in the upstate New York and where I live the population has exploded since Sept 11, 2001...So for the past 24 years...the city folk from New York City have moved here in droves...and with that is their impatience and attitudes behind the wheel...yes they have to do at least 10 to 20 mph over th...

Hi Morris Minor aficionados You folks all seem to have a lot of history with these little cars... I have only ever seen 3 Morris Minors in my whole life (never even driven one)...living in the USA they did not sell well...I really wish they (the Morris Minors) were more popular over here....I have o...

Looking for some Morris racing history
Hi Morris Minor Aficionados I have been an oval track guy for 60 years now (USA born and raised here)...when I was a kid they ran a class of four cylinder race cars...mostly not USA cars (for some reason the USA likes big old boats) but VW's and old school Mini Coopers and occasionally you would see...

Re: What to do to make them a better driver???
I think what I was hoping to do is it get something I can repair and not have a shop "plug it into a computer" to fix it...but then the more I read about these little cars...I am not sure where I live it would be a good fit... I think I would be stressing the old vehicle too much trying to...

What to do to make them a better driver???
Hi Morris Minor aficionado's I have never driven a Morris Minor...I did have one for about 6 months as a kind of a fill project between other projects kind of car...(patched a bunch of rot holes in it and then sold it).. I keep thinking I might wanna try and get another one but I keep hearing that t...

Re: 1966 2 door saloon Milly restoration project
Love seeing those rust holes disappear and new metal all welded in tight...very nice work you are doing... I recall making patterns for the bottom end of the Moggy I had...there is a lot more bends and angles than you would think...I worked for weeks piecing pieces together to get the rust holes to ...

Re: Unbelieveable
I have to chime in here I am in the USA .... been a fan for years...had one for a bit (6 months) I was lucky to get rid of it...now I see them on market place and they sit and sit and sit...there is is virtually no market for them over here... If you do buy one don't expect to make anything on it wh...

Re: Buying a Morris Minor for the first time
I bought my first Morris Minor site unseen...the former owner sent me some pictures of the underside and I kind of knew it was a little rough around the edges but it seemed to be a savable project...so I had it shipped from Ohio to upstate NY and it was just what he had told it was... I spent the ne...

Wow...you are doing an awesome job so far...I cobbled one up a couple of years ago...well not really cobbled but I cut and welded and rewelded and recut for almost 6 months....then I found something else I would rather work on so it got sold... I hope you can see this one thru to the end...looks lik...

Anybody bought a Morris Minor as a retirement project?
Hi Morris Minor folks I had a 1960 Morris Minor a couple of years ago but then a 1939 Plymouth coupe came up for sale with a price I could not pass by (see attached picture)...so I sold my Morris Minor before I even got it to run....well in the early months of 2023 I left my gov't job of 25 years an...

Re: Why didn't the Morris sell well in the USA?
Hey Chief I watched the video all the way thru. Loved seeing those old VW's...the splitty would be worth a boat load of cash with today's VW fans...my dad actually bought his first new car at the VW factory in Dec 1953...he talked often of the Autobahn highway. I know my dad is rolling over in his g...

Re: Major project
I would use it as a parts car maybe....or build it into a hot rod..2x3 steel tube chassis and a more modern suspension and running gear...dont paint it either, just fix the rotted sections and save the "patina" on it..
Just a thought.
Good luck either way you decide to go.

Love the looks of the old car... The Facebook group you sent to the link to is a private group "A_Lost_Frequency" not sure what that means. Maybe just post your progress on here. The folks on here will be able to answer any questions you might have. You have a humble piece right there...ho...
