Lancashire Evening Post Front Cover

Morning All! Don't know how accessible this will be to most, however in today's Lancashire Evening Post (Wednesday 7 September) there is a front page spot, as well as an inside two page spread devoted to the Morris Minor! I will see if I can take some pictures in a high enough quality to upload for ...

Verge of Extinction

Although this isn't strictly Minor related, I thought I would share this on here, as there are a few Morris models mentioned! It would be interesting to see how the Minor's figures would look compared to these! I am sure we would do fairly well! http://www.dailymail.co.uk/money/cars/article-3706797/...

Re: First Time Buyer Help

I spoke to the seller, and although he didn't have the paperwork in front of him, he seemed to recall it was 1962. He does have the V5 and original logbook so I should be able to check that out! Hoping to go and have a look at it this weekend, if I can convince my dad to come with me! He know's more...

Re: First Time Buyer Help

Yeah, thankfully my Dad repairs coaches so I should be able to ask him for help and possibly tools if (I'm being overly optimistic here) needed along the way! The guy does seem to be being genuine with the whole thing and is acknowledging that it's not perfect! Thanks for specifying the alternator /...

Re: First Time Buyer Help

When I spoke to the owner yesterday, he said the thrust bearing and the gearbox were noisy! so hopefully this means it's to do with the clutch as this sounds like the lesser of two evils! In relation to the MOT, he said it's because he was working on it, and he simply had not put it through the MOT ...

Re: First Time Buyer Help

Hi! Thank you all for your great help! I have spoken to the guy that is listing the car, and he has given me a few more details: The car was running and had a valid MOT up until 6 months ago, when he bought it, and he put a SORN on it whilst he worked on it. He said he had had a look over and there ...

First Time Buyer Help

Hi all! I've been lurking in the forums for some time now, looking for hints and tips, and also waiting for a good first minor to come up! I'm currently 20 and have decided that I want to drive a Morris Minor! I have come across this little car, and would appreciate any thoughts! Being based in Pres...
