Re: to garage or not

Maybe the cheapest way of (partly) protecting a saloon is do as I do with mine,I bought a tailored car cover for my 4 door saloon,it seems to have kept the car as no worse off as being in a garage, although it wasn't cheap at £160.Thoroughly recommended though, you'll find them advertised in minor mat...

Broken starter cable

Happy bank holiday all,
I have a 1961 4 door and the starter pull has a cable on it which has snapped. It looks like the broken cable can be removed and a new one crimped in,but before I do damage can anyone verify this? Many thanks

Re: Seems a bit odd

Thanks Liam,a common upgrade then.I had another 948 with an original heater in it and it was pretty woeful,I suppose it's not a major job for a minor specialist. When I lifted the bonnet at a recent event it got accused of being a fake car,i.e a 1098 car with the 1961 interior, engine and identity,but...

Seems a bit odd

Just been through the resto photo's and bills for my minor and there's actually a bill for cutting a hole in the bulkhead (my car is a 1961 948) and a before and after shot just so there can be a fresh air pipe going to the heater,as seen on all 1098 minors,is it just me or is this a bit of an odd j...

Re: SEATS

There was a slight clearance, not much but there's no reason why any of the conversion will catch on anything :D

Re: SEATS

Mine is a 4 door, but like I say it hasn't got seatbelts fitted and the KA seat rails run very close to the gearbox tunnel,so that is something to watch out for.

Re: SEATS

Mine hasn't got any seatbelts though so I don't know how seatbelts would affect the conversion.

Re: SEATS

I've just bought a 4 door that had KA seats in and i've put the originals back in.It was a very simple looking conversion with just a couple of bolts securing the front down and the rear supported with chocks to get a good driving position. All it was was 2 holes drilled in the chassis and a bolt goi...

Over the weekend I bought another 4 door saloon. The thing is there's a period sunvisor been fitted with pop rivets on the roof guttering, and I'm not sure weather to use it or lose it.What's the done thing with external sun visors? Many thanks
