Re: SPARK INTENSIFIERS ????
Ran another 27 kms and so far so good...!! Seems problem is solved. Thanks all for all the helpful suggestions. Hmmm.. bmc, I sure need to invest in a compression tester. Well the colortune made life easier in my case as opposed to the lifting of the piston and the whole lot of subjective perception...

Re: Weird fuel gauge issue
MarkJames, I'm experiencing the exact symptoms you mentioned initially. Is it just the sender you replaced? Tank was almost full and When ignition is on 1. Removing the sender wire makes the gauge show full 2. Sender wire earthed, gauge rests at 'E' 3. Sender wire connected, gauge is a millimeter or...

Re: SPARK INTENSIFIERS ????
Good Lord!! Tuned the mixture a flat leaner. Took the Moggy for 10km cruising run. Great ride and noticeable power increase. Overtook couple of Ashok Leyland buses :D Realizing that I've been running on just three cylinders all this time blaming it on the engine and perhaps thinking that the timing ...

Re: SPARK INTENSIFIERS ????
Yep. Will make it a point to check valve gaps and status of bore / piston. Have deferred all engine related repairs to be done together. The plug is not oil fouled, it just happens to be super wet. The engine oil is 20W50 Castrol Mineral Oil When it fires well, there is noticeable power increase and...

Re: SPARK INTENSIFIERS ????
Thanks Mark. I'm sure I never saw blue smoke. Thats a big relief. Will run for a while and see. Didn't get a chance to do a reasonable run at cruising speed. Only short trips which I'm sure wouldn't have helped cure the wet plug. Previously I tuned the engine with Gunson Colortune and according to m...

Re: SPARK INTENSIFIERS ????
Hi all, Recently experienced the same symptoms explained here in my moggy engine cylinder number 4. Upon removing the plug, it didn;t seem "oil fouled", but was wet. Other 3 plugs were slightly sooty (but dry), which I'm thinking of fixing by making the mixture a flat or two leaner. 1. On ...
