Can it be the starter motor
My moggy is generally used every day but has sat a couple of weeks whilst I and the dogs enjoyed the air con in another car. I changed the starter pull switch a few weeks ago, it had failed, she had her head gasket changed (routine not emergency) and New spark plugs with last couple of months. Batte...

Re: Paint by Valspar
I managed to get some paint mixed, and sprayed, then I used a clear gloss laquer, next step to use wet and dry 2500 to bring up a shine, I will post some pictures of her at the wedding with her ribbons on.

I paint my boat topsides by hand, flatting off with a dryer brush, I can get a good shine but I dont think I would do the whole of my car, just little ...

Re: how do the skuttles / panels fit on,
Thank you, Celia is a 1959 two door saloon, she had a duo tone interior fitted at some point, but the interior panels are all buckled. I am attempting to straighten the rear panels and have bought new for the front. I might try stick on velcro, that way they will be held by all the edges.

Paint by Valspar
Couldnt get any Frilford Grey so I took a piece of card with the remains of the previous spray that I had managed to get. This paint had stood out darker on the car as the origainal paint had faded. I took the sample to B&Q, the new Valspar paint mixing section. They scanned it, and at my reques...

Skuttles and door cards
Every door panel and skuttle seems to curl up, Ive just bought a new set and havent even fitted them yet, been in the garage 2 days and already they are curling. Has anyone tried waterproofing them, perhaps a coating of PVA on the bare card at the back? would this stop the card absorbing moisture fr...
