Re: Marina van torsion bars
Yes I’ve kept them handed as I only freed one reaction arm off of one of the bars but I have no idea as to a value. Open to offers but I’m less inclined to post them but if the buyer organisers a courier I’m ok with that. I’m near Crawley, Sussex

Re: MMOC National Rally 2017
Look hang on a minute, my van started to play up a bit on its last journey, (Thursday) and as I want an enjoyable outing with no hassle, I thought I'd take my car. Why on earth are you reading all this doom and gloom into it? Life goes on and night will still follow day. I think the only thi...

Re: MMOC National Rally 2017
Surely you'll be in the best place in the most ideal company if something goes wrong? If you manage to limp there and need any help my old man has a 4 post ramp 400m down the road from Tulleys, just be sure to bring your whitworths and a quid for his garage honesty box  PS: glad it's not been ...

Re: MMOC National Rally 2017
I was under the impression that it was largely being boycotted as its hardy in a central location... nevertheless I aim to just show up, doubt they'd turn away

Re: Marina van torsion bars
After a long old soak... no, still in there tight and i'm loathe to apply heat as we've discused.
Perhaps i'll bring them up to Tulley's Farm where the much-maligned "Nationals" will be held and organise a STRONG MAN competition, the first to seperate them gets a keg of beer

Re: Marina van torsion bars
Many thanks chaps, I get the possible issues from grit blasting but not really fond of heating the bars. Going to try a bucket of diesel for a long soak.

Re: Marina van torsion bars
I was digging through the shed, uncovered these, pretty sure they're Marina. https://c1.staticflickr.com/4/3934/33820696715_184b966b85_c.jpg So on philthehill measurements these are the Van bars and the preferable ones? https://c1.staticflickr.com/3/2810/33691263631_ac2c9d9ca4_c.jpg If they are then...

Re: MMOC National Rally 2017
Is this definitely on at Tulleys? I live opposite and there's no advertising for it, no mention on their twitter feed and it's not on their website for upcoming events.

Re: ID on MOWOG diff - ATB
The A35 normally has 10 spline (coarse) spiders and half-shafts. If you have fine splines the diff has been changed/uprated. See the attached link for details of differentials especially the fine spline diff / halfshafts. http://www.mgparts.co.nz/advice/technical-notes/uprating-midget-rear-axles/ H...

Re: ID on MOWOG diff - ATB
Have been shopping around for this elusive, and apparently expensive 3.7/3.9 diff, in the process I've been learning a few bits and pieces along the way. Was it normal for the a35 van to have 25 spline spider gears as mine evidently has? A large proportion of the diffs I have looked at are 10 spline...

Re: ID on MOWOG diff - ATB
I really appreciate the help on this. It's clear i need a 3.9 or 3.7 then, I shall trawl eBay and hope for a deal as they don't seem cheap. In the meantime would this diff I have be beneficial to anyone?

Re: ID on MOWOG diff - ATB
Thats great thank you! That's a fairly high ratio, just trying to get my head around all this diff/ratio business. So with that hooked up to a 1600 lump I imagine it will be good for top end speed but not necessarily racey out the blocks?

ID on MOWOG diff - ATB
Pulled the diff on my pickup this afternoon and decided to look up the part numbers. I've hunted around and found a table posted previously on here but my diff doesn't appear to match any listed there or elsewhere... bit of a head scratcher. Any chance any knowledgable person could take a look at th...
