Front wheel bearings - advice
Advice needed please. I am not mechanically minded so have to rely on my mechanic. Both front wheel bearings will soon need replacing (1000 Saloon). They were replaced only 2 years ago but play remains. The replacements were standard SUS166 bearing kits obtained from David Manners. My mechanic has s...

Front bump stop bolts
I have a new front offside bump stop to be fitted. Can anyone tell me what size bolts are required? I would like to have new bolts ready in case the originals are not in good condition, but these are not supplied by the various traders.

Engine oil
Can anyone advise please? A neighbour has given me an unopened 1 litre can of Castrol GTX 15w50 engine oil. It is in a Castrol centenary pack from 1999. I believe that it was given to him as a Rover employee but he has no use for it as it is unsuitable for his modern vehicle. However, what I am wond...

Re: Steering wheel cleaning
Thank you again to everyone for their responses.
In the end I decided on the Turtle Wax option. It cleaned the wheel up a treat. No more stickiness or dirt on my hands.

Steering wheel cleaning
Does anyone have any advice as to how best to clean a late type steering wheel (two spoke)? Mine has become very sticky to touch, and a black mess is deposited on my hands. I have seen advise not to use water or detergent as it may fade the wheel, but to use Turtle Wax. Have people tried this and do...

Morris Minor 1000 Traveller EGU 709J
Does anyone have any information about this 1971 Traveller that I owned from 1979 to 1984? I sold it locally to where I live in Birmingham. I have checked available DVLA records and am sure it no longer exists (on the road at least) but I would be interested to learn what happened to it. It was the ...
