Re: Rubber seals for wing mirrors

Thanks Les.
I understand about the possibility that the washer could be profiled. I suppose a thin enough rubber washer would do as it would bend with the shape of the wing. I wonder if anyone else has had this problem and solved it?

Rubber seals for wing mirrors

Does anyone know if I can buy the rubber seals for the wing mirrors anywhere? I've been looking online and haven't found any at all. When I say rubber seal, I mean the rubber between the mirror and the wing. Mine have become perished and look unsightly. I want to replace them but can only find them ...

Re: First breakdown in my Traveller

Well she's running again but not quite right yet. It was vapour lock caused by me running out of fuel so my father in law says. He's had a look at the fuel mix as she was running rich and now idles without hunting. He reckons now that it's an ignition problem more than a fuel problem as she mis-fire...

First breakdown in my Traveller

My Traveller broke down today at a set of traffic lights on a busy road. The engine died and would not start again. I thought it may be lack of fuel as my fuel gauge is dodgy. Luckilly I was only a couple of miles from home so my wife phoned her dad to come out with some fuel. I managed to push her ...

Absolute Radio, 5 Live and Talksport are still transmitted on AM and there may be more. The only way to know is to turn the tuning knob and find out.

On my screen it looks white but that may be the fact that I'm a bit colour blind.
Go on, have a go fixing it. You may be pleasantly surprised :D

Re: Original radio

Looks like the wiring is a bit dodgy but not hard to replace.
I assume the white thing holds a fuse. That could probably do with being replaced also.

Re: Original radio

I'm useless at electrics I'm good at cosmetic but not fixing radios . I'll put a picture on tomorrow when I get home from work I'm no good at electrics either but it doesn't stop me from taking a broken thing apart and seeing if it's fixable. You have nothing to lose. You can't break something that...

Re: Original radio

I would've loved to have had a period radio in my traveller. It's a shame it's not working. Probably someone has said but have you checked to see if a fuse has blown? If it was me I'd take it apart and give the inside a good clean, then put it all back together and connect it to a spare battery to t...

Re: Steering wheel lock

I have a Disklock for my traveller and yes it is a pain to get on and off but I'd rather have that than nothing at all. It is definitley easier to take it off with the door open. When I put mine on I rotate the lock towards the passenger side so the arm is facing that way. I find it's easier to take...
