Idling at 1500 rpm despite slackening accelerator cable outer, and screwing idle stops right out? Mixture has been checked ok. One possibility, new jets were fitted.

Has been confirmed by Burlen srvices, new jet required......

All I need to do now is find the right studs!

Sorry, I forgot to mention, meant the join at the jet end not the float chamber end.....

Have just dislodged the small flexible tube between float chamber and jet. Put it back, but what holds it, an olive? Rather dangerous as just above the exhaust manifold!

Forgot - you mentioned a heat shield, would be very useful is that an original minor part or spridget rather ?(of course spridget one needed for two carbs....)

Spacers I don't think will solve the problem, manifold studs are too short. Moss Europe doesn't do spacers any more anyway.
