Hykee key cut

Hi I had these locks fitted several years ago. Due to one of my two keys getting jammed in the drivers door I had to cut the top off leaving a short sun of the key. The only way to remove the key in the lock was to cut it to get it through the body of the car. Having tried six auto locksmiths no one...

Re: Drivers side door handle

Many thanks for replying I have managed to get handle out with great difficulty also removed Hykee. It would be great to find an expanded view of the parts. I am going to order a new barrel and keys for as they are out of stock with handle. Thank again Mike 🍷🍷☕️☕️

Drivers side door handle

Hi I have already written post regarding above and I thank those that have replied with very helpful information. I would like to know if there is a drawing or pictures of removing the handle to remove my old Hykee lock and replace with a new lock I would get from ESM.
Many thanks Mike.

Re: Door lock

Hi I had someone replace the old door locks, I was not present when this was done. Is there a blow by blow instructions on MM website to remove the drivers door handle. From looking they say you have to take the window frame/ quarter light out to remove the door handle. Is this correct? TIA Mike

Re: Door lock

Hi the Hykee is fitted into the door handle. Have contacted that locksmiths you mentioned as with others o have contacted Hykee has been discontinued and no parts available. ESM have no door handles in stock. Would it be easy to remove Hykee and replace with new barrel and lock and key.

Re: Window winding mechanism

Hi, Thanks again, I eventually got the winding mechanism back discovering that the cog in the winder was not connecting with the window winding arm teeth. Doh! All back together, I was unable to fix the hykee door lock, so hopefully the garage can do that. I found an old technical tips pages, which ...

Window winding mechanism

Hi I have been trying to fix drivers door lock and in doors so I have undone some bolts regarding the winding mechanism after attempting this. I cannot get the four bolts that hold the winding handle to line up and if I do they are not near end to fix them in bolts in. I have not fixed the door lock...

Re: Refitting a rear bumper and valance

Hi, well after a lot of tweaking and having to drill and grind the spring and fibreglass holes I succeeded. However not without the odd scratch. And yes I have had copper grease for a number of years, so it came in handy. Also I was glad I had two ratchet type clamps. The suggestion to put it togeth...

Refitting a rear bumper and valance

Hi after preparing a new valance and chrome bumper, is there an easy way to reassemble it onto the car. Should I bolt on the spring bar I think it’s called, then the valance and chrome part.
Many thanks

Third brake light

Hi,
I have fitted an internal third brake light, which works when the brake pedal is depressed, however when releasing the pedal there is still a dim light showing. Can anyone assist with why this is. TIA
