Thanks for all your advice! Did everything as suggested. Turned out the fuse box was a little knackered. Cleaned up the connections and it seemed to work- but then, all of a sudden, power went again. So I bit the bullet and replaced the entire fuse box (a like for like replacement for a Lucas one) a...

Ok, thanks. I'll go and get myself a multimeter tomorrow and start testing!
I swapped all the fuses around first as, like you say, one may have been faulty - but no luck!
I'll print out the diagram and get a highlighter out of the drawer. I'll let you know if I find the fault...!
