Not sure how the bent valve happened.
And I agree about the high compression,there wasn't even any carbon in the head.
Might do the rings anyway as i already have them.
Any tips on fitting rings?

Have tried a professional gauge (snap on) this morning and got 185psi across all 4
It starts and runs fine with no sign of pinking.
Maybe i should just leave alone.

Hi,my 1098 66 traveller is showing 190psi across all 4 cylinders.
Has not been skimmed or have a lot of carbon build up.
It is an export model.
It doesnt pink under load either.

Any ideas please.

Hi have fitted a new clutch plate to my 66 Traveller,the linkage is also all new. I cant get the car into gear with the engine running. Is there any other type of fixing under the rubber seal apart from the bolts that pull the rear roof and cab roof together?
So that if you undo those and remove screws around edge of roof its free to come off

the roof on my 66 Traveller was incorrectly fitted in Portugal.The guttering is between the roof and the wood screwed on with self tapers.
Would it be possible to remove the roof without disturbing the wood to refit with new T seal and guttering in correct position?

Hi,My 66 Minor traveller has been in the family from new.
The bill of sale says cherokee red for the interior so why is it a maroon colour and nowhere near cherokee red.
Its never been reupholstered.
Been to Bulmotive today and they dont have anything close.
Any ideas please.

My 66 traveller sales invoice says Cherokee red but they look more like maroon,claret.

The colour is consistent all over so not faded from 45 years in Portugal.
