Re: car clock
I have got a 52 mm series. When I bought the Smiths clock was not working. They are very rare in original condition and some people are asking stupid prices. eg one on ebay not working £300.00. if you can get one in original condition and working for under £100.00. then then I would buy it. PS. Afte...

Re: Inside of boot lid
Hi Mike, It is the 52 MM of Ray Newells. Original Registration was NRR84. It then went to live in Jersey for about twenty odd years and had the plate number J30184. I imported it back to England and tried to get NRR84 back from the DVLA but I suspect they flogged it. It has now got the plate YVL841....

Inside of boot lid
My 52 four door MM series has rough paintwork (not rusted) and signs of glue inside the boot lid (see image attached). In the factory did these cars have a sound-proofing media/material fitted to the inside of the boot lids? If so does anyone know where I can get some from? Many Thanks

Re: Concourse
Hi Paul, sorry no answer from me, but concours is done via regional rallies as well as at the national rally, so it would be hard to know without getting info from each separate event. It might be worth asking Mike Perry (series MM register) as he's very knowledgeable and also know many of the peop...

I bought a 52 mm and the clock in the glove box cover has been disconnected. When I came to reconnect I found a fish plate between two screws so I am a bit stumped. The car is + earth. So my question is does the live wire showing 12v go to the connection which is insulated [the one that stands out p...

That's great news thank yousmithskids wrote:With the oil at working temperature the oil pressure at idle, 850 rpm, should be 20 to 40 psi depending on condition of bearings.idle speed can vary and needs to be checked with a hand tacho as 750 rpm can be as low as 15 psi. At 40 mph 40 to 60 psi.
