Re: Rush Green Motors, Nr Hitchin, Herts
Sad news, just spoke to them, when I asked if they had any Moggies their words were "nope, long gone I'm afraid"........so none there then!

Re: Rush Green Motors, Nr Hitchin, Herts
Thanks busguy, my error. Actually though, use this link below to get straight to the main site. http://www.rushgreenmotors.com/home.htm The other page has a note about the site being updated with their 2008 stock list  .....not their fault, I can't imagine updating their website is a top prior...

Rush Green Motors, Nr Hitchin, Herts
Anyone ever checked for Moggies at this place? I know its mainly a lorry salvage yard but i keep meaning to call them up and ask if they had any cars. Apparently it wasn't always just lorries, they had some cars too. http://www.rushgreenmotors.co.uk If you look at it on google earth you can see its ...

Re: Having a go at welding
Man I am so going to try welding sometime :D :D You guys are all making it sound so easy, and thanks to you Poplars for asking all the right questions, pretty much everything that was running through my head every time I've thought "I should learn how to weld, it could save me £££'s in the long...

Re: No brake lights, indicators, wipers....coincidence??
Sorted, i wish i could say it was expert investigative skills......but it was just beginners luck  I did check over a few wires and connections, especially the rear lights as I had a rear wing off recently, so had a rear lamp cluster off as part of that, then i just stuck a new fuse in and it a...

No brake lights, indicators, wipers....coincidence??
Hi all, All at once my brake lights, indicators, and wipers don't work. Car starts fine, side lights and headlights all work, and rear red lights come on when sidelights/headlights are on. I've a multi tester so will do some diagnostics tomorrow but anyone had this before and can short cut where i s...

Re: Rear bumper ferrules
You gotta unbolt the bumper then they slide over the end of the bar they're on. I've just had my rear bumper off (to deal with the rust at the points it fixes to in the boot) so its fresh in my mind

Any opinions on Cambridge Rebores (of Cambridge!)
For those who've seen my past posts I promise I'm not going to go through every engineering company in the phone book and ask everyone's opinion :D , I just have this one more I'd like to know if anyone had any dealings with? It's to re-build my 1098 engine (as per my previous posts). It's a lot of ...

Anyone ever bought a reconditioned engine from Charles Ware?
Hi all, Still investigating how to sort my engine out (main bearings badly worn so I'm investigating either a rebuild, a second hand or a reconditioned). It's way beyond my skills/resources available (i.e. no garage, and limited skills :o ). The above 3 options are all coming in around the same cost...

What to 'sheath' wiring with?
Hi all, I was pottering this afternoon and cleaned up some of the wiring in the boot (it was part coated in underbody sealer that the previous owner use in the boot  I had to remove the original material sheathing as it was fraying and all mucky. What should i use to keep the wires together, a...

What to paint inner wheel arch...suggestions?
Hi all, I had a free afternoon today (wife and kids away!) so I was pondering what to do and I thought I'd see how easy it is to remove a wing. Obviously its very easy as I'm sure you all know but don't forget I'm only 3 months in to this!! So, two hours later I've removed one, and cleaned up the in...

Re: Sills...pleasantly surprised!
You're right Mark, I've taken off some of the welded patching and its rotten as can be beneath it....why do people even bother with the patch if they don't treat the rust beneath
Will rust treat it, then hammerite as a short/medium term fix until I can afford to get it cut out and welded.

SJM Morris Minors of Dronfield??
Hi all, Anyone used these guys for work on their Moggy? He advertises on Ebay, service and repairs on Moggies, been doing them for years. I've just got a quote from him which is incredibly reasonable (compared to the London type prices I'm exposed to...being in Hertford just North of London). Any op...

Sills...pleasantly surprised!
I'm currently debating some investment on the engine (probably fitting a second hand or reconsitioned one) but before i do I'm checking over the rest of the car to see if its worth ir, or if I'm flogging a dead horse. Couple of other parties are also going t check it over for me too and give me thei...

Re: 1970 2 door project - VBE 264J
Just read this topic from start to finish, must say, cracking job you're doing and very jealous of the access you have to all that gear....huge workshop, welding gear etc etc. Your photos have provided inspiration to a few rot spots I should probably look closer at on my Moggy !! Really would love t...
