Re: Dashboard Light Switch Screws
Just to confirm 4ba won't fit. What you need is a couple of 1/4" 6ba's. These work a treat. Just thought I'd post this up in case anyone has the same query in future.

Dashboard Light Switch Screws
Does anyone know the size of the screws for the dashboard lighting switch please (the one underneath the dashboard near the speedo).
I've just obtained one (without screws unfortunately) as it was missing on my van.
Cheers

Re: Laygear Circlips
There are no outer circlips fitted to the lay-shaft of a Minor 1098cc gearbox. All you have is the two inner circlips Pt No: 22G278, the distance piece Pt No: 22G277, the two roller bearings Pt No: 88G396. The roller bearings are retained in their working position by front thrust washer Pt No: 2A30...

Re: Laygear Circlips
The bearings are fully pushed home against the inner circlips so no problems there. The old bearings were replacements too, and of the same size as the new bearings. The last owner of the box must have fitted new ones without circlips, but I have no idea how many miles the box has done since then. T...

Laygear Circlips
Just rebuilding a 1098 ribbed gearbox and I'm in the process of renewing the layshaft needle bearings (layshaft and laygear in good nick). The new bearings from ESM seem a touch long and extend well over the gap left for a circlip at each end. Has anybody else experienced this? I'd rather make sure ...

Re: Bonnet Prop Clevis Pin
Thanks for all the suggestions. I've just tried the handbrake clevis pin and that's too large.

Re: Indicator Relay
I'd get everything wired in and earthed correctly first (plenty of bright metal behind the earth points). I've just rewired a van and noticed the same problem halfway through so I pressed on and got all the lighting earths in (front and rear) and hey presto, when finished everything was fine. Also c...

Re: Bonnet Prop Clevis Pin
Some good suggestions thanks. Will have a mooch around and see what I can find. Not too many Yacht chandlers around here though, couldn't be further from the sea (Yorkshire Dales)

Re: Bonnet Prop Clevis Pin
Thanks, will give Bryan a try. Hopefully somebody has had the same problem and knows whether another pin might work too.

Bonnet Prop Clevis Pin
It doesn't seem like you can buy new clevis pins for the bonnet prop and mine have decided to snap. Rather than use a nut and bolt does anyone know offhand whether there is a clevis pin for another part of the car that will fit? Cheers

Van Rear Door Handle Screws
Hello all, new member here with a 71 van.
I've just replaced the rear door handle but the chrome screws are a bit shabby. Does anyone know what size they are and if anyone sells new ones?
Thanks
