Have I done any damage?

Hi guys, Did something a bit silly this eve. Forgot that I left my car in reverse (parked on a slope you see!) and started Betty up (1098 convertible). Well, she did the usual and jerk, then continued to make an awful vibrating noise for at least 3 mins. I turned the ignition off but the noise carri...

I am having them fitted to Humbug but if they don't look right I will remove them. I was also thinking of (don't shout at me!!) having angel eyes fitted as then I would just melt when I look at her! it is just a thought of course! Humbug is even older than I thought, she is a 1960 with a 1098 engine...

I have an MGTF as an every day car but I may think about giving her up for another MM saloon as I love them so much. My 2nd car will soon be a MM 1960 convertible to be picked up Saturday (pending weather!). I have had a few lovely modern cars, including an Aston Martin DB7 Volante, but the Morris o...

Stalling?

Hi I have a small (I hope!) problem with the 1970 MM that I have just bought. She starts straight away only with the choke (no problem) but even when the engine has been running for over 20mins or so, when I go to change down or idle at traffice, etc, she stalls unless I pull the choke out. I am hav...

Thanks for that Kevin, and Brixton. Kevin, I will need the quarter metal glass surround within 4/5 weeks. It is just the metal part that has rusted that holds the glass and rubber seal in place. Think I saw one of the MM's you mentioned in Borehamwood today. It was a cream traveller, very nice! Than...

Thanks for all your responses. The window frame I am trying to explain is the offside front little triangular part that opens outwards. The rust is in between the rubber and inner steel bit. My sprayer suggested that it would take much less time to spray a new one rather than have to rub down the ru...

1970 2 dr 1000 saloon

I have just bought a trafalgar blue 2 dr saloon that has only had one previous owner. She has, over time, had four new wings that are a difference colour to the body. I am contemplating having the whole car re-sprayed by a professional that I know. He has suggested that I buy a new rear rubber windo...
