A question about removing the steering wheel
I have a question about removing the steering wheel. But surprisingly it has nothing to do with that big nut. I need to remove the steering wheel to get at the indicator switch - the indicators are working only intermittently and I think the contacts need cleaning. I got the big nut off but now I ca...

Re: Won't Start (Wet Weather)
She's running this morning (Yay!). I hadn't actually had a chance to do anything - it's still pouring with rain here in northern NZ. Unfortunately I don't currently have anywhere dry to store her, but I put a cover over her last night, and it seems to have been enough to dry things out (maybe - I st...

Re: Won't Start (Wet Weather)
It's a little tough to see because I have no-one to assist me, but it does look like there is no spark. The spark plugs themselves are quite new so they shouldn't be a problem. What should I check in the distributor?

Re: Won't Start (Wet Weather)
The engine turns over decently. The fuel pump is pumping.
I took a spark plug out and attached the distributor plug onto it, but it was hard to get close enough to see if it was sparking while turning the key. Maybe it isn't.

Won't Start (Wet Weather)
Hi all,
The old gal just won't start this morning. It rained quite a bit overnight, so I suspect there is water somewhere it shouldn't be. I've checked the plugs, the distributer cap, etc. Everything looks dry. Any ideas? Anything else I should check?
Thanks.

Re: Non-functional electrics
The fuses and the terminals were all pretty dirty, and after a thorough clean everything is working again!
Thanks guys! That was an easy fix - I was worried I'd have to replace something.

Re: Non-functional electrics
Thanks for the quick responses!
I will check all that. Just wanted to add that the horn is also not working. Interior light is probably not working (but doesn't have a bulb anyway).

Non-functional electrics
Hi guys! I am the new owner of a 1969 Morris Minor Van. Here she is: [frame] http://mmoc.org.uk/mbimage.php?src=1389903910_20415 [/frame] I've only had her about a month, and I've hit my first problem - a problem I created myself... I was replacing the bulb in the front left-hand-side side light, an...
