Also, what should I be looking for when buying an engine that's already been removed from a car to make sure it's all okay?

There have been no oil leaks.

Faulty fuel pump diagnosed. Reconditioned one recently bought and fitted. Ran fine for about two hours, and then VERY suddenly engine stopped. It will not restart.
