That's usually the problem - the first few clicks are used regularly - the others not so much...... In extremis - a thin shim can be fitted under the tail of each shoe - to help balance out wear on the drum face. hooray think i have sorted it now, wasn't being determined enough to get the adjuster over its last click, all seems ok now,

Hi Graham yep the shoes all move ok, i have just been out and had another look, the adjuster cam teeth look worn and quite flat and also the bit the adjuster sits in has 2 grooves worn in it (adjuster mask on ESM website) i wouldn't normally worry until spring but wanted to use it sunday to do the C...

Hi i replaced the cylinders as they were leaking, the drums and shoes are fine, its a bit of a puzzle!!

Hi All
I have just fitted some wheel cylinders but on going to adjust the brakes up i have noticed that i cant lock the drums even with the adjusters on their maxiumn, iam thinking the adjusters must be worn is this possible,any other thoughts welcome!!

Thank you both for your opinions both I agree with, the car was MOT'ed yesterday where I work, it has had some repairs to the rear spring hangers but it has been done very nicely, I think it may have been restored at some point as it looks like it has got new bolts holding on the rear wings etc, so ...
