Many thanks for the quick response BMC, I will give it a go. Must be easier than fitting them silly metric tyres to my metro a few years ago!

Evening All I have stripped all my old tyres off my rims today in readiness for fitting the set of bridgestone 145/80 R14's I dropped on from ebay. Before I fit the new tyres I decided it was time to refurbish the rims so have spent 4 hours with a grinder and cup brush sorting out the many years of ...

Thanks for all of your comments and suggestions. She went straight through the MOT today with the wheels and tyres from the traveller so I must make a decision this week as I cant do without Toby on the road!

I will sort my rims out at the weekend and take it from there.

Tyres (Again!)

I wonder if anyone has tried 155/70 R14 on standard minor rims (I have searched the forum but cant find reference to that size)? I have fitted bridgestone blizzak 145/80 r14's to my traveller and they are ok but these others are such a good price (continental brand) that I might try a set on my salo...

I have just had a set of 4 blasted and powder coated for £25 each.

They have made a good job overall.

There are three places near me that do them, all around the same price

This is unfortunately standard FJ have just charged me £25 to change the address on a two week old policy!

I suppose the have to make money somehow?
