Thank you for your help,I have found that it was a Glamorgan police car ,there is one on their web site,5 door and the same reg batch as my car.

The roof has had the holes for the light box filled.I have recently purchased the car.It has been repainted,but under the bonnet it is the panda car blue colour.

I have a Morris Minor with a zip in the roof lining.My car is a 4 door, this unusal, as I have always understood they were all 2 door.Also there are seat belt fittings under the rear seat,did the police restrain the passengers?

I have had success using a wide wood chisel.Place it under the ridge ,tap lightly with a small hammer all round the edge.

Glad you have solved the problem,I thought the slots were for adjustment ,but the the sliding part ,the whole thing moves as one.with the springs either end.

The sliding plates have elongated holes ,perhaps they are clogged up with hard grease.I would pull it apart.I have just looked at the Moss cat ,there are spacers under the slider,maybe worn.

Is this a recent photo of your lock?Looks pretty dry If so ,after studying the exploded parts in the Moss parts manual,maybe you should dismantle the whole mechanism and clean and oil it. There is a sliding plate.Perhaps this why it locks with the assistant pulling the handle. The pin assembly is ad...

I seem to remember a way was to use typist tippex ,clean the letter first then apply in the groove ,Let it dry and clean off excess,

Hi Have you solved your problem yet? I have recently rebuilt my engine and had to set it up from scratch.I found the best advice here was reduce the possible faults ie.set the static timing.do the tappets,clean and set plugs,she runs. I live ln Eynsford, if you need a hand I am willing to come over,...

USE A WIDE WOOD CHISEL,WORK AROUND THE CAP BY TWISTING THE CHISEL.WORKS FOR ME.

It has been knurled at the end,to stop it coming loose.I have removed them.using a pair of pliers.Open the pliers and with one jaw over the end of the pin and the other on the metal where it is entered ,squeeze the pliers.
Do it over a piece of cloth,so you don't loose it.
