Had my BMC works manual turn up yesterday
Its an ex library book and has been loveingly turned from a ring binder to a hardback book, some people are just so thoughtful
Haynes hardback is on its way to me

The black coating should be an anti cathodic primer but like all after market parts there is no telling what it is or even if the metal has been etched before it was applied.
Personally I would remove it all and apply a quality etch primer

Thank Phil, I have got a BMC manual on the way and have everyone I know scouring the local charity shops so fingers crossed one will pop up.
I totally agree, you can never have enough manuals

Could anyone recommend a good/cheap supplier of body panels, chassis legs etc?

What are the best workshop manuals to get, I like the Haynes for the photo's but any recommendations would be welcome
I have a 62 two door if that makes a difference
