i think, if i remember rightly, that one of the old workshop manuals actually has a diagram for checking everything lines up. it involves dropping a plumb line from points on the chassis, and chalking marks on the floor to measure. it might be the blue loose leaf bmc manual. anyone else seen it?

so you think with a decent file it will fit? i'm worried about weakening the wheel. it would need about 1mm or less taken off the inside flange to clear. good idea or bad idea?

i heard in several places that 13 inch viva wheels would fit the minor, having the correct (4 inch) stud spacing. however, having got hold of some (thankfully extremely cheaply!) i've found that the centre cut out wont clear the hub! any ideas? i've seen minors with viva wheels on, so i know it must...
