Petrol pump

My petrol pump on my Morris 1000 makes a lot of loud ticking noise when the car engine is running, I do understand that its in the pumping mode, what I like to know is this the usual noise of the pump.

Best regards

Re: repairs to moggy

The Halfords shop assistant checked on the computer the year and make of car and it said I needed 15W/40 mineral motor oil with API SL CF CF-4. On coming home on small print it says its for cars built between mid 1980's and early 1990's. Is this still OK for me to use in my car?

drive chain or drive belt

I have a slight knock coming from my drive chain, some one told me the chain is slack, is this possible if it is would it become a bigger problem if not sorted. Myself I do not know much about these things so I would be glad for some advise. Regards,
