yes all exterior bulbs are working and the bulb on the end of indicator stalk is brand new and function only when indicating right but does not flash for turning left? thanks for advice

Hi there i have a 1971 Morris Minor Traveller in arctic white and I'm aged 15 years old.I have a problem with my indicator stalk, when i pull it down the miniature edison bulb flashes the end of stalk however it doesn't when pushing it up? any help/advice to what my problem is or could be many thank...
