It is quite strange as I didn't drop any down the gap in the door. I didn't change the inside weatherstrips, as they were ok.

Thanks for the advice, I did exactly what you said and I replaced the weather strips this evening, it was a lot less fiddly than I expected it to be. This should stop rain water geting into the door cavity.

Thanks for your help, I phoned the Morris Minor spares, they said they will put the clips in for me, i will just work out how to get the old ones out.

Thanks, I am just about to order, Please can you advise how many clips I need per window?

I noticed the outside window seals seem rusty and need replacing. What are these strips called? I think they used to be like a brush fitting. Any advice will be appreciated.

I managed to get hold of an old Autopress- Workshop manual which covers the series II split screen. The first thing I will do is check the engine oil level.

Thanks for all your help, It was encouraging to know there are very helpful and knowledgble people out there to help. I ma looking forward to maintaining the car. I will look for a suitable manual so I can learn as I go along.

I have posted the car on the For Sale message board.

I spoke witht he garage that collected the car and the chap replaced the condenser and it works fine now.

I am not sure what a condeser is, so I didnt ever think of replacing it.

Yes, the trafficators have been disconnected, I was advised of this when I collected the vehicle. I heard form the dealer and he is arranging collection of the vehicle and he will advise me when the transporter will collect, hopefully in the next few days or early next week.
