I have just fitted a sony radio/cd to the Morris. I have changed to neg/earth. The radio and cd work ok. but only when ignition is switched on, I would like to alter wiring so i can listen to radio with ignition off. It has 8 wires to 4 speakers, 1 black to earth, 1 blue which i didn`t use, Then 1 y...

I have made a frame out of steel. when checking with wheels straight ahead, do i set this with front jacked up or fully down, if its down, how do i get under car? No funny remarks please. Thanks.

I have already asked about fitting a mechanical pump to my 948 Minor its a 1958 there is a blanking plate on side of engine ready to fit pump, My question is the length of the studs are 3/4 inch. is this enough to fit spacer plate, pump, washer and nuts, or am i to remove studs to replace with longe...

fuel pump
Has anyone fit a manual fuel pump to the side of the engine running off the camshaft ? I have just fit an electric pump and find it very noisey. If manual pumps can be fitted how do i know the type to go for as they look different.

Is it usual for the front brakes to squeal after fitting new pattern shoes and new drums, 7 inch. ? Also is it advisable to fit a good quality brake shoes like ferodo to improve stopping power ?

front wheel bearings
Wheel bearings are going on my 1958 Minor. Bull Motif bearings cost £25 +vat of £5 + p&p. I understand that these are thrust bearings, Would the normal roller bearings be ok. as i don`t intend racing. Would it be dangerous to fit roller bearings, would they just break up or would wheel come off?...

Has anyone been fined and had points added to there licence for speeding through a fixed or hand held camera. On any classic car or bike with pressed alloy number plates. Interesting question as i am a member of a classic bike club and know nobody who has been done ?

Thanks for the imformation, Another question about number plates,Is this true ? I was told that the Black and White number plates on older cars did not register when going through a static speed camera. They can only register the yellow and white ones because of the type of material used. I don`t fa...
