Thanks Phil,
I will look at this modification. Also, thanks for the links,
Ian.

Morris Marina Handbrake cable
Hi, I have a Morris Minor with Marina disc brakes on the front and a marina back axle. The problem is the handbrake cable. While it is working okay just now, I cannot adjust it. There is no central bracket for the adjusting mechanism, i.e. the screwed section with the two nuts, to anchor to. I was l...

Top Hose Marina engine to Minor radiator
Hi, I have been searching for a suitable top radiator hose to go from the Marina 1300 Thermostat to the Minor radiator curved top inlet pipe. I was using a cut down bottom radiator hose but had a bad kink on it. Bought a Marina 1800 engine top hose part No. RH1042 and cut it down to suit. I am happy...

Re: ESM Hubs
Hi Phil, Thanks once again for your practical, and down to earth advice. The one thing that has come out of all this is, I now know exactly what is going on, and the parts involved regarding my front steering and braking system. I will step back from my Marina hub idea, and just enjoy driving the ca...

Re: ESM Hubs
Hi Phil, Sorry, perhaps my logic is flawed. I believe ESM supply new machined hubs that are manufactured to fit the Minor stub axles for the Marina disc brake conversion without the top hat adaptor. These hubs are fitted with Minor studs on a 4" PCD to accept Minor wheels. My car has Marina whe...

Re: ESM Hubs
Just thinking, perhaps we have not heard from ESM due to the Corona Virus lockdown. Hopefully they will reply soon. Ian.

Re: ESM Hubs
Hi Rob, I sent a message to ESM spares, and ESM workshop asking if they could modify their Marina hubs with 4" PCD to 3.75" PCD with Marina Studs. Same as you, no reply. I think they are missing out on a nice earner, as there must be lots of people would like the Marina hubs with different...

Re: ESM Hubs
Thanks Steve,
Just covering all my options. It really concerns me that these mods that are carried out to Minors, are getting scarcer all the time. Better to be prepared.

Re: ESM Hubs
Hi Phil, I have two Marina stub axles I managed to buy on ebay, so may get these fitted to two minor uprights for use if I have problems in the future. You are right, my Marina modified disc brakes and stub axles are operating fine, and I have had no problems with them over the past 6 years. I suppo...

Re: hood blown back
Interesting post for all the convertible owners.
I bought my convertible from Charles Ware about 6 years ago.
I must admit I am always checking the two screws that tighten into the posts under the sun visors. On occasion I have found them to require a wee tighten!
All the best,
Ian

Re: ESM Hubs
Hi Phil, Thanks for your reply. It was just when I asked ESM for top hat adaptors the man said they were not supplying these anymore and did not recommend them for use. Although I did get 2. So I thought perhaps it would be better to fit parts that did not require modification, i.e. DSK104 hubs. Alt...

ESM Hubs
I have a Morris Minor Convertible with Marina disc brakes and Marina back axle fitted. The car is fitted with Marina wheels. My question is. If I buy two of the Marina hubs, part No. DSK104, from ESM spares that can be fitted to the Minor stub axles without the, 'Top Hat', adaptors. Can the PCD be c...

Re: Morris Marina Spacer for disc conversion
Oops sorry guys, I had placed them in a row to let you see what I was trying to do. My bench is not exactly flat and I laid them out so they would not fall apart when taking the picture. I will pay attention when I actually do the job. Thanks for all your help, all clear now. I will order the correc...

Thanks Phil,
That saves me a troll on the net. Is the bearing quite a tight fit on the spacer?
Noted about the Loctite.

Re: Morris Marina Spacer for disc conversion
Hi Matt,
Just checked, its a SKF 30205/Q. Perhaps that is the Morris Minor one!
I will check what the marina one should be.

Hi Matt, Thanks for your reply.
It is a Marina one, I think. That is what I purchased.
What one should I be using on the Marina Disc conversion?
Ian.

Morris Marina Spacer for disc conversion
Hi Guys, Sorry to labour this subject. I have just managed to get 2 spacers for the Marina Disc brake conversion from ESM. The bearings on my Minor, with the Marina disc brake conversion just now are okay. Just trying to get my head round the setup for future reference for if, and when, I have to ch...

Top hose Marina engine to Minor radiator
Hi guys, I have just fitted a new minor radiator with the bent top pipe to my Minor, with a Marina 1300 engine. Having the same problem as others on here with the top hose. Thought I would try a Flexible EPDM reinforced Coolant water hose. It seems to bend easier and is rated at 3 bar. So far so goo...

Morris Minor Radiator for 1300 Marina engine
I have a Morris Minor with a 1300cc Morris Marina engine fitted. I need a new radiator and, notice on Charles Ware spares site, there is a series 3 radiator for 1300cc engines. Just wondering if the standard Morris Minor radiator will do the job. Not sure what is fitted to my car, but it does look o...
