Dizzy Doc is currently closed for a period but a ‘reddish’ rotor has solved the issue and I’m up and running again.

Same lesson every time - do the checks and start with the cheap parts

Thanks, I'm out of time now but I'm sure I've got a new rotor arm somewhere.

I remember choosing to continue with the current one as there was lots of issues with rotor arms with rivets in them.

I'll report back.

King lead removed at dizzy gives strong spark when held against the block.

All wires connected, ignition on, points open, (plastic tie wrap for isolation).

12 volts across coil to fixed side of points.

Ignition on 12volts between end of small wire from coil to dizzy - just to be sure there is continuity

Ignition on, no reading across coil terminals. This may be right.

After a quick check, this looked like the problem - centre electrode in dizzy cap missing.

Quick dash to SW London best auto parts store for £10 replacement.

Sadly still won’t fire.

After a few years of fun and absolutely no issues, stopped and just won't start. Everything that runs off the electrical circuit is working - lights, horn, starter, heater fan, pump etc.. Turns over no problem but no spark in the dizzy. I've never had a problem with mechanicals but sparks is another...

With a bit of a stretch I've managed to solder an extended wire to the end of the internal wire in the indicator stalk. The circuit is complete but still no repeater flashing. As my local (all those parts you can't buy any longer) shop was closed I opened up the flasher unit. Through much trial and ...

Not sure how or why but this issue has solved itself.
