Thanks for your help I will try this tomorrow. The heater unit does not have a switch so would this mean that it is on all the time the ignition is on?

Hello all, I noticed that the heater motor is not connected to anything in my 1960 Morris, there is two loose wires with connectors on the end but there doesn't seem to be any other cables to connect them too. Adjusting odometer
Hi All, I recently had to replace my speedo as it had a 15mph discrepancy!! I need to set the miles to that on my original and i have tried to adjust by attaching a drill to the and of the cable that goes into the gearbox but my drill only does a top speed of 30mph so it would take a century to wind...

Hi, I have checked the obvious ect but still did not have much luck today, The engine sounded like it was trying to fire up but just wouldnt fire, pertol was making its way into the engine as i removed a plug to check. Thankyou for your reply i will use your list off possibilites as a list and i will look into it tommorow as it has startded to tip it down with rain and its now starting to get Dark, I will keep you updated

Wont start after rebuild!
Hello all as you are all now probably aware i have been rebuilding a 1098cc engine and now i have solved my carb problem the new problem is that it wont start!! The engne turns by hand beutifuly! all wires and everything are in place ect but she just wont fire up!! Any ideas?

Hi, Thanks do you know if or where i could get replacement one becuase i am moving to Battle on the 2nd of Jan and i need the car running by then! I took the carb to bits to give it a really really good clean and scrub and for the life of me i cannot find them!!

Thanks for all your help, somebody told me it would be a good idea to turn the engine on the starter without the fuel hose attached to help build the oil pressure does this like a good idea?

Hello, thanks for the reply, the work i did on the engine was fit a recon crankshaft, all new bearings and piston rings, new timing gear, new valve seals, thermostat and oil pump plus new teath on the flywheel. Hi thanks for the reply, before the rebuild the big end bearings we worn causing low oil pressure and a horris rumbling sound. The crank i bought was a reground one from the morris minor centre in east sussex. I will check to see if i have fitted the bearings properly hopefully i can solve this issu...
