Cheers, ive now got the choke arrow pointing at the fast idle screw and the screw set so that there is just a gap between it and the choke when it is adling. Will have to wait until tomorrow now to test it from cold. Was ticking over nicely when it was warm. Just to clarify, as ive read elsewhere on...

Sorry to hijack your thread but i hace just started the minor up after being sat for a week or so n was having a play to getbthe timing/fueling running ok. Got it running and after about 10 mins of idling ran away with itself and had fuel running out of the overflow.

boefore i moved the dizzy it wos ok at best. after 3rd it would not rev beyond about 4000ish so i had a bit of a play. since then the weather has changed dramatically so im not sure what is going on now.

It could just be the warmer weather, colder air is denser (sp) so it has more oxygen. If the idle was set close to the limit when it was cold it could just need a tweak

Top tip - disconnect the heating on the manifold! The charge wants to be as cold as possible. Twin spark plugs?? Its got a heated mini spares inlet and a custom made stainless exhaust, not sure on the size though. As for the engine i think its standard except for the twin spark plugs i fitted about a month ago

thanks for the advise, ill try and get hold of a BDL needle and try that. I might go down and have a chat with the guys in stourbridge and see what they have to say.

ive got an ital 1275 engine, hif44(unkown needle) + k&n filter and a custom stainless exhaust. Not sure what mods would be best to go for next. Other than engine mods ive got 15" minilights, type 9 5speed box, 4.22 diff and disc brakes on the front
