The link David provided showed an example of that position, but unfortunately it isn’t there either. He has looked on the bulkhead both sides, shock mounts both sides and the floor by the gearbox cover. The problem he has is the chassis plate is missing, removed when it was stored in the 70's. Thanks for the link David, he did look there....looking through the replies, is it true to say that the SMM number is prefixed....from one of the pictures it seems so. thanks Russ

thanks for the pictures Mike. The chassis number on my friend’s lowlight isn't where it is shown in your picture. My friend has had a search around, he's taken off the regulator box and coil but with no luck yet. There is no sign of any modification to the bulkhead, all spot welds are in place, no w...

Thanks for the reply, he's looked on the bulkhead around the regulator box, coil etc no sign of of a number. Could it possibly be under the coil or regulator box?. Will it just be a number or will it begin with SMM?. I've read a few of the other threads on the subject and have passed on other possib...
