My thanks to those who have replied. philthehill (great name) has provided some excellent and detailed feedback with attachments that I need to spend time going thro and checking what I’ve actually got. Thought changing gearbox would be a simple matter but it seems theres so many variations that nee...

Re: Clutch fork gaiter
Thanks for your interest and reply. The hole in the gearbox is the what I believe is the standard rectangle with rounded corners and the gaiter fits this perfectly. The hole I’m referring to is the one at the opposite end of the gaiter which fits over the clutch fork and is normally round as per lin...

Re: Clutch fork gaiter
Hope photos help. With further research it seems these types of gaiter normally always with a round hole that fits over the fork which is the type sold by Morris parts suppliers but I also see some pictures where there is an oval hole that fits over the fork. As this is a reconditioned box I wonder...

Have adjusted clutch free play on my new traveler to correct setting and everything seems to be working ok apart from the fact that the fork gaiter ( looks new ) is pulled out of its opening at the front by full depression of the clutch pedal. Any thoughts, suggestion on how to rectify would be much...

Have changed master cylinder and bled system but note that when I depress brake pedal with the master cylinder filler cap removed a few drops of fluid shoot up out of the filler hole.
Should this happen?

Re: Fuel pump
Hi all Firstly thanks to you all for the advice offered. Looks like problem is solved as it now fires up OK. Road test will have to wait in this weather. General opinion including utube clips seemed to indicate that diaphragm needed to be unscrewed more but in fact eventually I screwed it in a full ...

Re: Fuel pump
Many thanks for the info. I tkink I’ve already seen those but will look again with perhaps a bit more concentration. I’ve followed standard procedure which hasn’t worked yet but some say it’s very difficult to get right. Looks to me it’s very very very difficult to get right but I’m sure we’ll get t...

Re: Fuel pump
Hi
Thanks for response
It stops clicking before float chamber is full. When removed from car there is small amount of fuel in the pump but not in the inlet or outlet pipes
