In reply I think they ment the dissy body would have to be rotated by 10 degrees? I must see if I can hunt the article down as I am sure someone mentioned that they had a lot of problems getting started following fitting of the electronic ignition,possible this was the one that i remember had to alt...

I also thought about going along this route as my daughter uses her car for her job,
Looking into it some say that the timing has to be altered in one case i saw by as far 10 degrees?
still think i may change over one day but for the time will remain with points.

Thanks BMC for your reply, I was kind of thinking of having a rebore and a crank regrind as a belt and braces thing, as i mentioned earler I am very thorough when doing a task just my way, guess it was the way I have been trained at work,electrical and mechanical engineer (lifts) since 1975 how time...

Hi Tim, been there done that what a mess,
Just thought I would inform you that many years ago I worked in a spray shop and I was told that when you use any kind of rubbing back compound like T cut the paint work is left porous and should have a good polish to protect it .hope this helps.

Thank you all for your comments, I do like to be thorough when I do a task like this, I would rather spend a bit more and know everything has been done than leave things to chance.

The dice seat belt covers and steering wheel cover were all in a set bought for my daughter on her 18th, the steering wheel cover did not fit! Suprise suprise.what a talking point the minor is. Regards David
