Damper valve assy sent off 9:00 am this morning first class post.

Having a hydraulic clutch on my minor and the slave cylinder being the same as a classic Mini I recognised the slave cylinder from what is visible in the above photo.

Which side do you require?

Having just checked the various greases and lubricant I have (at least 10) non of them have a use by or sell by date.
So long as the grease is in a sealed container it will not deteriorate.
I would agree with the argument for regular quality control/testing of lubricants used in the aircraft industry.

You spent that much

The wheel is not necessary in the centre of the wheel arch. As the spring flattens & especially over time the axle moves rearwards and that is why there is a sliding joint to the rear of the gearbox.

I would suggest that one stainless steel pan scrub is enough. The crankcase fumes need to have easy passage through the pan scrub.
